Here are some facts about American militia. First, militia are minutemen who are called that because they’re ready in a minute. Next, militia are not real soldiers; they are farmers and shopkeepers. Finally, militia minutemen slept with their gun powder and muskets.
Here are some facts about Continental Congress. First, representatives talk and give ideas. Next, meetings were there so they could discuss that were having freedom. Finally, Continental Congress still runs today. These are some things I’ve learned about American history.
First, George Washington was a great Commander-in-Chief. Next, he knew about the Redcoats. Third, he was the first president and he designed the American flag.
Next, Redcoats got beaten by the Americans. Also, Redcoats had a war with the American colonies. Third, Redcoats got beaten on Christmas night and they surrendered.
I also learned that indentured servants don’t get to say bye to their people. Next, they served the colonists. Third, an indentured servant is a person who works for a certain amount of time before they can get freed. These are the things I learned about the New World.
Next, I learned about the Boston Tea Party. First, the Americans dumped the tea off the ships into the Boston Harbor. Next, the Americans stopped drinking tea because the British were charging them too much taxes. Finally, the Americans dressed up as Native Americans.
Finally, I learned about George Washington. First, he was a Commander-in-Chief. Next, he knew how the Redcoats fought. Finally, he trained the militia in the winter at Valley Forge. Soldiers suffered from diseases in the winter.
